...think of what you could do with kids' fiction. You'd still have to do some research, probably, unless you set the story on another planet, but it seems to me you could get away with sillier things, which would suit me to the core. Especially considering the silly names I've come up with over the years*.
In fact, I've recently discovered that it's a lot of fun to write fiction for older kids. Yup, I've started writing a kids' adventure and am having a blast with it, when I can work on it, that is, what with starting school, and book illustrations to draw, and all the regular stuff...
*My daughter asks me sometimes how I come up with these names, and I actually can answer that. Due to some hearing loss, I regularly hear things wrong, which can be turned into very unusual names. (Franknoodle was today's. Not one to be used in the future, though; I wasn't very enamored of it.) One, I remember, came off a highway sign. And so on.

I did answer that on FB...but it's probably buried. It's a book explaining basic Christianity to mostly overseas people who have English as their second language.
